Meet Demetrius Bledsoe

Demetrius Bledsoe is the author and founder of Redemption 2019 - The Plan for Black America. He is also the President of Black Owned Roofing Company Quote and the author of The Battle for 2812. Demetrius is most grateful to his parents Ether and Alma Bledsoe for being excellent role models and for instilling lifelong characteristics that can endure the toughest challenges.

Demetrius started his passion for business by being around the family-owned business at an early age. His father would have he and his brothers cleaning the office when Demetrius was 10 years of age. By the time he was 16, Bledsoe was answering the phone, doing job costing and delivering materials to job sites.

Bledsoe has continued the family business by expanding the business from what started as a painting company to a nationwide roofing business. Demetrius has guided the business without the use of any minority distinction such as MBE (minority business enterprise) or DBE (disadvantage business enterprise) and competes against the largest roofing businesses in the country. The company has completed projects in every region of the United States.

Bledsoe went to high school with many classmates whose parents owned recognizable and important businesses in St. Louis, Mo. This is where Bledsoe realized the true value of the family business and the utmost appreciation of the hard work of his mother, father and company employees. This is where Bledsoe also began to learn the science of business. During his audio/visual assignments, Bledsoe would work in the school library. During his free time, he would read Fortune, Forbes and other business magazines. Bledsoe began to envision the family business as a company that could compete throughout the country. His Vision ultimately became a reality.

Bledsoe's first love is baseball which is where his spirit of competition was derived. He was the "Clean-Up Hitter" during his college days where he once went 8 for 8 in a double header with 5 home runs. He was an All-American college baseball player and was considered one of the better college baseball players in the country. Over 30 years after playing college baseball, Bledsoe still holds school records for home runs and many other offensive records.  Inspired by Jackie Robinson, Bledsoe played baseball with similar passion. From little league through college, Bledsoe would often steal home the way Jackie did.

Bledsoe was the "Clean-Up Hitter" on his summer collegiate team in Rome/Utica, NY. and made the All-Star team that played in Syracuse, NY. at the Toronto Blue Jays AAA stadium.  Bledsoe also represented the United States in international competition as the teams "Clean-Up Hitter" while playing games in Europe where his team won every game. Despite his love for baseball, the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves having an interest to sign him, Bledsoe ended his baseball career at 22 years of age. Demetrius feels God had other plans for him.

"Clean-Up Hitter" definition: In baseball, a cleanup hitter is the one with the most power on the team, usually hits the most home runs and their most important job is to bring runs in, the clean-up hitter “cleans up the bases” meaning that if there are runners on the bases the cleanup hitter scores them in.  Let us all be clean-up hitters that can assist with driving our ancestors home who fought with all their might to get to first base, second base and third base catching Hell every step of the way to attain a freedom they knew they would never realize. After 400 years, the prayers of the slaves and those that came after them will be answered from our unity with the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth to crush and destroy all wickedness.

Demetrius Bledsoe was on the National Mall in Washington D.C. October 16, 1995 for the Day of Atonement commonly known as the Million Man March. That special day was the largest gathering of Black men in United States history and one of the largest gatherings of men in human history. Demetrius was one of perhaps over two million individuals to recite The Pledge to change and improve the lives of themselves, their families, their communities and the world. Bledsoe is forever grateful to have attended the Million Man March. The empowerment and enlightenment he received that day has continued to be a major inspiration for him. Long live the spirit of the Million Man March.

Demetrius has always been a non-conformist and does not feed off of or dwell in negative energy. He has always been true and obedient to the nature under which he was created. Bledsoe also believes through research that he is a direct descendant of the Dogon tribe of West Africa and loves to compete. As an underdog competing in the business world or on the athletic field, he has proven that courage, faith, determination and Belief will triumph over any opposition. With the help of Almighty God, it is this combination of ingredients that will compel Bledsoe to see Redemption 2019 and the Kingdom Marketplace through to their reality.

A message from Brother Bledsoe:

"Thank you for taking the time to read what I have to share. With the help and ordainment of God, the vision of Redemption 2019 and the Kingdom Marketplace will become a reality. In the future, I will post important updates and share what you can do to get involved. We feel Redemption 2019 is the economic blueprint of the 21st century for the Black community to compete collectively in a capitalistic society that will assist toward rebuilding our communities, creating personal wealth, developing true affordable housing, locking-in a portion of the $1.6 trillion in annual Black spending power and employing a large number of individuals for generations to come. From it, will come real economic & political power.

My mission is to prepare those with a heart and desire to manage the Kingdom of God. God wants after 400 years of a people being despised and rejected in a land that is not their own, to assist toward fulfilling His prophecy but He has to know that the descendants of slaves can manage the Kingdom toward righteousness. That is all God is waiting on as we have done our time. Proper management of the Kingdom and it is ours to govern. Let's make history and fulfill prophecy."
