Why Redemption 2019?

Why the Need for Redemption 2019?

The urban centers of America are decayed and have been deteriorating for nearly 60 years. Where once thriving manufacturing plants employed many in the community to create a solid class of citizens, now days these plants are closed and eyesores with no real value.  Furthermore, when the plants left, so did the laundromats, dry cleaners, grocery stores, gas stations, retail stores, decent housing for the masses and of course jobs.  These are all essential ingredients that create solid neighborhoods and communities.

The most important ingredient in leadership is vision. Where was the vision by the so called industrialists to sustain or revive these communities? Where was the vision of city, state and federal leaders to implement solutions to keep these communities from falling further and further into decay?  Where was the vision of the business community to utilize the human resources to employ and train individuals in these communities to prevent hopelessness and despair which ultimately leads to crime and violence? The reality of urban communities lacking job opportunities, substandard schools, high crime and violence is a testimony of failed leadership at all levels.

Individuals caught in this cycle face a daily struggle to realize the basic or fundamental necessities to survive. Finding money for a decent meal, bus fare or the purchase of diapers is a monumental task for too many of our fellow citizens.  An economic engine has to be created in these communities that will employ large numbers of people while instilling massive economic growth.  This will create a seismic shift that will allow previously under-served and forgotten communities to realize their true potential. With an estimated buying power of $1.3 trillion, the Black community can transform its communities and create a base of collective power to have real influence politically, socially and economically.

It is not a coincidence that the urban core of the major cities of America look the same whether you are in Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Memphis etc.  This was no accident.  As manufacturing plants and other businesses that employed residents within the inner cities moved to the suburbs, rural areas and outside of the country, it created a devastating crisis of rapid joblessness and concentrated poverty that has been fermenting over the past 40 years. These two conditions of joblessness and poverty is what creates the out of control crime problem America's cities face today.  Local, state and federal governments do not have a credible solution to deal with these issues.  The only solution is one that replaces present conditions with the establishment of the Kingdom of God.

Crime statistics show that most crime is generated from these areas of deep poverty.  However, there should be another study that reveals crime statistics committed by Blacks that are employed.  Most Blacks that have a job are model citizens.  They do not want to do anything that would jeopardize the job they have.  They are grateful and thankful to be employed.  Crime statistics by Blacks that are employed (especially white collar crimes) could possibly be as low or lower than any other group in American society.  Instead of a plan to create jobs to offset this reality, government along with private industry over the past 30 years have chosen to create the prison industrial complex.  Building more and more jails is not a solution to cure the real problems these communities face.

The vision of Redemption 2019 is to look at the urban centers of America and see a new reality that will use the human resources of neglected communities and underutilized land to create a thriving Kingdom that our ancestors and God would be proud of.  Redemption 2019 is an inclusive program that will allow for unity and fulfillment of the vision that God has preordained.

Each generation has seen an effort to create a better day for its present and future population. The pursuit of freedom, justice and equality has been difficult and met with fierce resistance. Many paid with their lives while generation after generation have suffered in knowing they were not being treated as an equal in American society.

This present living generation has to rise to its responsibility to unite and do what is necessary to ensure future generations are not fighting the same battles that prior generations have had to fight. We have never fought from a position of economic strength. It is incumbent on this living generation to create an economic engine that will allow future generations to have a real stake in this society. After all, America is a country founded on capitalism. Without capital, we have no real stake in a capitalistic society.

We are presently living at a time when day to day life for Blacks in America is getting much worse than it was 50 years ago. The Voting Rights Act is under assault, Black unemployment is at devastating numbers, acts of police brutality and excessive force are rarely met with the system holding police accountable  leaving families, communities and  others devastated and heartbroken. Mothers and fathers afraid for their children being stopped by the police and ending up being a statistic as another unarmed Black person killed senselessly at the hands of law enforcement.

The Black community feels as though there is no recourse against these oppressive actions. Blacks have marched, pleaded with politicians to do more, waited patiently for the judicial system to run its course to be slapped in the face, kicked in the stomach over and over again.

This is why Redemption 2019 is so important. Let's look at the meaning of the word redemption; to be redeemed is to be made whole, restored, value replaced with deliverance against those that were the oppressor. Only God has this kind of power to redeem a suffering people. After 400 years, we are left with the only process of redemption that will lead to the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth; unity, vision, will of the people and a well developed plan. Redemption 2019 is the God given answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you asking for contributions for the Plan for Black America?

Naturally, such an undertaking will cost much money to accomplish. If the U.S. Government was to create a plan to assist the Black community it would cost in the billions if not trillions of dollars and would never pass through congress. In fact, Blacks are still waiting for their 40 acres and mule from 1865. The Plan for Black America is sustainable and self generating. Meaning, once stores and our online platform start earning revenue, profits can be reinvested to sustain the program.

Will there be any government assistance?

No. This current U.S. government cannot get the John Lewis Voting Rights bill passed or the George Floyd Policing Act passed. Congress also could not get the bill passed to study the January 6th Capitol Building insurrection. Although justified, we also know that reparations through the U.S. Government will not happen. We believe God would not have it any other way to fulfill prophecy than for the descendants of slaves to free themselves from their oppressor and realize their liberation through self determination.

How soon can the Plan for Black America start making money?

We believe once our online platform is in place to begin purchasing basic household goods we can begin producing revenue. Once a store is “open for business,” we can also start earning revenue. It is our aim to be open for the holiday shopping season in late 2021.

Are you concerned about Walmart, Target and other stores already in business?

No. We believe the consciousness of Black people is at a place where if a Kingdom Marketplace was directly across the street from a Walmart or Target, we would challenge them in overall sales. Black people have always desired a peaceful place to shop where they are respected, not followed as though they are a common criminal and know that their hard earned dollars are generated back into their communities. Other stores will have to change the way they do business with the Black community once one of our stores are open. They will have to finally earn our respect by reinvesting in our communities instead of taking our $1 trillion in purchasing power for granted.

Why is there a spiritual element to Redemption 2019?

The entire existence of Black people in America is spiritual. Plus, every movement in the quest for our liberation had God at the root of it. In fact most often, the leaders of the movement were spiritual leaders. We cannot overcome our oppressors without the hand of God. We have to realize that God has the ultimate power and is anxious to give us the victory. It is the spiritual connection that allowed our ancestors to live with a Faith & Belief that there would be a better day for their descendants. This is why within Redemption 2019 there is an entire designated area that "we owe it to them."

Lastly, the 400 year prophecy is not only spiritual but also biblical. It is up to us, Black people in America, the descendants of slaves, the despised and rejected, the undervalued, underestimated, marginalized to fulfill prophecy and finally end this level of existence forever
